INTRODUCING.....

Isabella Patricia Comrie... Izzie for short. She was born on May 26, 2011 at 6:44 am after 5 pushes during 2 contractions. She was 7 pounds 4 ounces and 20 inches long. Here's a little about her birth...
On May 25th at 11:00 am, I went into my doctor's office to have my membranes stripped.. AGAIN. (it's where they seperate your bag of water from your uterus) Around 12:30 pm I started having contractions every 2 - 3 minutes apart but they weren't painful, just annoying, so Mike and I went to Paradise Bakery to get some lunch. We also went to FYE and got Gnomeo and Juliet for later that night ;) (Sorry, I want to remember all the details of this day so I have to write it). ALL DAY I was contracting every 2 - 3 minutes but becuase they honestly didn't hurt, I didn't think much of it... til 10:00 pm. We started the movie and during the show I made a promise to myself that if the contractions stayed at 2 - 3 minutes apart and got any stronger than what they were (like a 4 on the pain scale) I was going to go into Labor and Delivery to get checked. (I really didn't want to go to L&D for nothing, it would have been my 4th trip!)
The movie ended and I couldn't blurt out fast enough to Mike that I wanted to go to the hospital. The contractions were 2 minutes apart and now about a 6 on the pain scale and getting a bit hard to talk through.
We got to the hospital around 11:45 pm and was placed in triage. The nurse checked me, I was 3 cm dilated and 90% effaced (so NO change from my appointment that morning). She said that I should walk around and she would check me again around 1:30 am and if there was no change I would be sent home.
1:30 am rolled around, I was in PAIN but NO CHANGE! The nurse saw that I was in pain and said that she would give me another hour and see what happens.
2:30 am, my AWESOME nurse checked me and right then my bag of water broke! THANK GOD! "Well, I guess your staying, let me show you your room" she says.. I can not tell you how happy that made me feel!!!!
3:30 am I'm situated in my room and the nurse asks me if i want an epidural. Give me the damn epi is what i wanted to say.. I think i said yes please, I'm so nice during labor haha. At this point my contractions were back to back and SUPER painful. I couldn't breathe, I couldn't talk, i couldn't live without that epi!
4:30 am the nurse checks me and I'm at a 6 and my epi is working beautifully. Decided to get some rest.
6:30 am the nurse checks me again to do shift changes and looks up and says I'm complete. She's super surprised and surries around the room to get everything ready. I was calm, she looked like she was getting nervous haha. She just says she didn't think I'd get complete yet. She calls the doctor and we do a "test" push to see how i'll push.. she calls the doctor again haha.
6:44 am after 2 contractions and 5 pushes Izzie is out and put on my chest. I can't even tell you how i felt. She came out screaming and is the most beautiful little bundle of love. 10 fingers, 10 toes, one loud voice!
I had the best labor and delivery! Everything happened so quick. Mike was shocked how fast it went and said it looked like i wasn't even pushing. I called my dad around 4:30 am to say today was the day, and he was suprised how calm i was on the phone.
We stayed in the hospital from May 25 (if you count when i came in0 to May 28th 12:30 pm. I had the best care and I kinda miss being pregnant but being a mom to izzie is sooo rewarding, even if it's only been 5 days ;)

Drool Alert!

This weekend was the living traditions festival! They had food and dancing and food and crafts and food and shops and oh yeah... FOOD! Mike and I went on Saturday AND Sunday just for the food. Please don't ask about the shopping or shows because... well... we only went and ate haha. I heard some drumming while i ate, that sounded pretty good, and i'm sure i'm chomped with the beat.. but the main reason for going.. THE FOOD! hey.. i am pregnant haha. That's right, I'm STILL pregnant. Here's pictures of all the foods we ate! We had fresh spring rolls with peanut sauce and some kind of noodles with egg rolls and crushed peanuts from the vietnamese stand, we had rice, beef sticks, adobo, some kind of noodle thing, potatoes, and lumpia from the Fillipino Stand, Crepes and some kind of mixed plate from the Bosnia stand (who knew they had nutella crepes from bosnia haha), and Otai from Tongan stand.. I wish i tried the pinapple beef from Hawaii.. but i was just to dang full! ASIAN FESTIVAL ON JUNE 11th haha.. oh yes, i'm planning on eating there too.

38 Weeks and Growing

UGH! I honestly thought that I'd be done by now and have my sweet baby girl in my arms, but apparently she has other plans and loves it on the inside. Dang me for having a comfortable uterus! ha ha. Well, here's an update picture of my growing belly.. it's getting HUGE! I know, hopefully she's out soon because I don't think it'll stretch anymore.. no worries, using my bio oil religiously!!

Starting her off right!

What girl doesn't like shoes?! Here's her collection so far... still thinking she needs more so if you guys know any cute places to pick up some more cute shoes, let me know!! Oh, and yes.. baby girl has her first set of bunny slippers (upper right hand corner). CUTE!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mothers Day MOM! Isn't my mom gorgeous? We had a short visit this mothers day (she's gearing up for her big test), can't wait til next year when I get to celebrate! Mike did get me a gift, but I agree.. it's a little awkward without a baby here.. lucky mike will get a Fathers Day...LAME haha

Whew all done... now we wait...

All done! I posted some pictures before, but now i'm all done! Check them out. The leaves now wrap around the room and her closets are all organized and ready to go. On my changing table I set up her diaper caddy (Thanks Court!) and now i can pick it up and go. Now I just need Izzie to come out!

Comfort on the Weekends

Geeze..look at my dogs. Kona nice and comfy under the covers and then a cute picture of kona and mei-lei (and mike in the background). My dogs are just too cute!

Have you seen my beach ball?

you know how the joke goes.. have you seen my beach ball? it's this big (and then the men flex off their muscles).. well my beach ball is my belly! grrr i'm so over being preggers!! I for sure thought May 9th... well... nope.. I'm still pregnant!! She's to dang comfy in there. This pic was taken on Easter.. I'll update soon.

Dog Bite!

That's right! My sweet kona bona was attacked! This stupid pit bull was not on a leash and bit kona on the head! This picture was taken a few days later but you can see above his eye where the dog latched on, he also got my kona right on the edge of his eye! I was FREAKING out to say the lease... no one wants to see their baby bleeding out of their eye! Anyways, all is well now, after phone calls to animal control, numerous office visits, and phone calls to the stupid owner of the pit bull, all is well now. Kona was on as much medication as me! Kona's 3 meds on the left, my 3 meds on the right.

Tulips & Lilies... MY FAV!

awwww... aren't they gorgeous! Mike surprised me at work today and brought flowers. Not just any flowers.. tulips and lilies (my favorite). These were our wedding flowers and I kept them so long they dried and started crumbling on my dining table. Isn't he the sweetest husband? Yup, I think so ;)
